Mega star Mammootty and director johny antony again coming together for an entertainer this year and it is titled as Thiruttu Gramam as per the latest update from the team. In this flick Mammootty will play the character of a thief from the popular Thiruttu Gramam. Mammootty and Johny Antony is joining together after the gap of 3 years and their last association was Thappana which was not done very well in Box office that year. Thappana was financed by Milan Jaleel under his banner of galaxy films and it was only an average grosser at box office as the film named Run Baby Run financed by the same banner and producer become a blockbuster hit. Run Baby Run was a Mohanlal film helmed by Joshiey for the Milan Jaleel Productions.
This flick titled Thiruttu Gramam will also be financed by Milan Jaleel under the above mentioned banner of his named Galaxy films and Milan Jaleel was the producer if Mammootty’s this year’s first film titled Fireman as well which was also remained an average grosser at box office. Nishad Koya who had penned down the blockbuster flick named Ordinary will write the script of Thiruttu Gramam. The decision on who will play the female lead and also about other artists in this flick will be taken very soon and it will be updated as soon as we gets hat details from the team behind the flick.
Johny Antony badly needs a super hit as his last few films were not at did good at box office and his last film titled Bhaiyya Bhaiyya was a disaster at box office even though he roped in hit pair Kunchacko Boban and Biju Menon in it. He also faced great criticism from the film critics for making such worthless films which don’t even have no commercial or aesthetic value at all.
The films by him recently followed same pattern and that may be the reason for his downfall off late and he had to take up the responsibility for that and have to come back strongly with this flick named Thiruttu Gramam. He had earlier associated with Mammootty in films like Thuruppu Gulan which was a hit and Ee Pattanathil Bhootham which was a huge flop.
