Power Star: Omar Lulu’s next is an action-packed mass entertainer with Babu Antony!

Power Star: Omar Lulu’s next is an action-packed mass entertainer with Babu Antony!

Omar Lulu is one of the most wanted directors in Mollywood at present. His first two films – Happy Wedding and Chunkzz – were box office hits while his upcoming movie Oru Adaar Love is probably the most talked about Malayalam movie in recent years. He had recently announced that his next after Oru Adaar Love will be a mass entertainer. While several rumours had been doing the rounds about the lead cast, the director has now pulled a big surprise.

Babu Antony will be the playing the lead role in this movie titled as Power Star. The casting has indeed come as a big surprise as it was rumoured that the makers were in talks with a superstar. Babu Antony is unarguably one of the biggest action heroes that Malayalam cinema has ever seen. There was a time in the 90s when Babu Antony’s action flicks used to give tight competition to the superstar films.

For a while now, Babu Antony has been keeping a low profile while doing supporting roles occasionally. It will be really interesting to see how Omar Lulu presents the veteran actor in a full fledged mass flick. CH Muhammed of Royal Cinemas, whose maiden venture was Mammootty’s Masterpiece, is producing this upcoming movie as well.

Other details regarding the supporting cast and crew or when the movie goes on floors have not yet been revealed.
