Mumbai Police Hindi remake Dishoom is on its way

Mumbai Police, the film directed by Roshan Andrews and scripted by Bobby-Sanjay duo had really made an impact here in Mollywood. This Prithviraj-Jayasurya-Rahman starrer film had given a new face to Prithviraj as an actor and he had got great critical appreciation as well.

Even though the film had got fantastic appreciation from critics for its theme, making style and performance, it was not a big box office success. But the flick had really broke the formulae of conventional thrillers in Malayalam cinema. The theme of the film is slightly controversial in a sense as well. Now, the Hindi remake of the film is on its way.

John Abraham and Varun Dhawan is playing the lead in this Hindi remake of Mumbai Police and it has been titled as Dishoom. Rohit Dhawan is directed this movie and it is produced by Sajid Nadiawala under the banner of Nadiawala Grandson Entertainments. Akshay Khanna, Jacqueline Fernandez and Saqib Saleem also playing key roles in this action thriller.

As per reports Bollywood Super Star Akshay Kumar will be there as well in this movie playing an extended cameo along with Nargin Fakri who is also playing a cameo in it. Pritam Chakraborty is the music director of this movie.

The first look poster of the film is already out and it will reach the screens all over on July 29th. The trailer of the film will come in June as well.

Kammatti Paadam Collection Report – 9 Days

Kammatti Paadam aka Kammatipaadam had completed 9 days at Kerala Box office and when we look at the overall collection of the film from here, its looks good. The film had grossed around 7.6 crores from Kerala alone in its 9 days run. But when we analyze the status from separate days it seems that huge drop has affected the film and the lack of family support is undoubtedly the reason behind this drop.

Even though the flick has got great response from critics and from celebrities, the audience reviews was mixed. Many people expected an out and out action entertainer from Dulquar Salman. But Kammattipadam is a realistic gangster film and some section of the audience seems to have not liked it so much.

So after the first week rush from the youngsters, or may be the fans of Dulquer Salmaan, the film had experienced a drop and that was expected for a film like Kammattipaadam, which does not have much entertainment elements. Rajeev Ravi directorial films are usually realistic flicks. P Balachandran had wrote the screenplay of this movie which is now getting all the attention from critics for the making style of Rajeev Ravi and performances from Vinayakan and Manikandan.

The rain had definitely affected the flick at many parts in the state. Now, the schools are also opened after vacation and Ramzan Fasting will also begin shortly. So, it will be difficult for the film to get a steady figure each day from here on.

Mammootty starrer film Kasaba’s first look poster had released today morning. This Nithin Renji Panicker directorial movie will hit the screens on July 7 as per reports and already creating great hype around it. But after releasing the first look poster of the film, social media begun to troll the poster and the body posture of Mammootty in that poster. All leading troll pages in Facebook had come up with hilarious trolls related to the first look poster of this film.

In the poster, Mammootty is sitting on the bumper of a Police Jeep with his hands stretched on the bonnet of the Jeep. That body posture had paved the way for some hilarious trolls in Social Media. In this film Mammootty is playing a circle inspector named Rajan Zakariah.

As per reports the character has some unique mannerisms which can create mass appeal. The flick has artists like Sambath, Jagadeesh, Renji Pnaicker, Maqbool Salman etc in it. Two important women characters will be seen in this movie and those characters will be played by Varalakshmi Sarath Kumar and Neha Saxena. Varalakshmi Sarath Kumar is the daughter of Tamil star Sarath Kumar and she is making her Mollywood debut through this film. It is the maiden venture of Nithin Renji Panicker as well.

Few days back, Mohanlal starrer Puli Murugan teaser also got many trolls from social media. Both Mohanlal and Mammootty films got trolls from Social Media now and it had opened up a new way of fight between the fans of both actors as well.

It was a big news when Anu Emmanuel, the Action Hero Biju fame heroine ruled out from the cast list of upcoming Amal Neerad-Dulquer Salmaan film. She has been replaced by a new face named Karthika Muralidharan in this movie. Anu Emmanuel has been replaced after filming some scenes of her and now the team is all set to reshoot those portions with Karthika Muralidharan.

Even though the reason for Anu Emmanuel’s replacement is not yet revealed, it had become a big opportunity for Karthika Muralidharan to make her debut in Malayalam Cinema and that too as the female lead of Young Star Dulquer Salmaan.

Karthika Muralidharan is the daughter of popular Bollywood and Mollywood cinematographer C K Muralidharan, who had cranked camera for some biggest hits in Indian Cinema like 3 Idiots, PK, Lagey Raho Munnabhai etc. His latest work was in the film School Bus, a Mollywood film directed by Roshan Andrews. The film had just released in Kerala and he had marked his debut through it here. His son Aakash Muralidharan played the lead role in School Bus along with the daughter of Roshan Andrews.

Karthika Muralidharan is doing her graduation in Srishti School of Arts, Bangalore. She said that she is very excited to play the female lead of Dulquer Salmaan, who is one of her favorite actors. She says Dulquer made her comfortable with his down-to-earth attitude. She plans to continue in the film industry if she gets exciting offers.

Prithviraj to star in the film of a debutant female director Roshni Dinaker

Actor Prithviraj to do a film directed by a debutant female director this year. After Anjali Menon, Revathi S Varma and Sreebala K Menon, another female director is all set to make her debut in Malayalam cinema. Her name is Roshni Dinaker and she will be making a romantic comedy entertainer with Prithviraj in the lead. Screenplay of this film will be written by popular screen writer and actor Sankar Ramakrishnan and the shoot of this film will start in the coming August.

The film will be fully shot in Europe as per reports. The cameraman of this film will be R Ratnavel who is famous for his work in big budget South Indian films like Brahmaotsavam in Telugu, Enthiran, Linga etc from Tamil. It will be his first ever Malayalam cinema as well.

His previous releases like James and Alice and Darwinte Parinamam did not made much impact here and he will be looking forward to the release of Oozham to turn the things around.

Vijaya production producing this movie and Santhosh Narayanan had given music for this film. Jagapathi babu playing the main villain in this movie, which has artists like Satheesh, Vijaya Raghavan, Daniel Balaji, Harish Uthaman, Lohitaswa, Aparnna Vinod, Sriman etc as well.
