Soubin Shahir and Shane Nigam reunite

Shane Nigam and Soubin Shahir, who have acted together in films like ‘Paravaa’ and ‘Kumbalangi Nights’, are set to team up again. It is learn that director Salam Bappu’s new film with Shane in the lead will also have Soubin in a prominent role. Golden S Pictures is producing this yet-to-be titled film, shoot shoot for which is planned to begin by the first week of March.

Director Salam Bappu has also scripted the film, which is planned as a feel-good entertainer. Shane plays a Malappuram-based youth in the film. After completing his degree, the youngster lands in Dubai. The film will explore his life and friendships there. Saiju Kurup, Renji Panicker, Joy Mathew, and Santhosh Keezhattoor also star in it.

Hesham Abdul Wahab, who delivered a blockbuster album with ‘Hridaym’, has been signed as the music director. Vishu Thandassery is the cinematographer. More details regarding the project are awaited.

The makers of Akshay Kumar’s ‘Bachchhan Pandey’ have released the film’s trailer. Also starring Kriti Sanon and Arshad Warsi, it is the remake of hit Tamil film, ‘Jigarthanda’. From the 3-minute long trailer, we understand that Akshay is playing a menacing gangster’s role, originally done by Bobby Simha. He had won a National Award for his performance in the film.

Kriti Sanon is reprising Siddharth’s role of the filmmaker. Jacqueline Fernandez plays Akshay’s romantic interest. Farhad Samji is directing the film and it is produced by Sajid Nadiadwala. From the trailer it is evident that a few changes have been made in the Hindi version, apart from upgrading the scale of making.

‘Bachchhan Pandey’ looks like a solid mass entertainer with power-packed action scenes, comedy and songs. The film also has the presence of fine supporting actors in Pankaj Tripathi, Prateik Babbar, Sanjay Mishra, Abhimanyu Singh and Saharsh Kumar Shukla.

The film is set to hit screens during Holi on 18 March, 2022.

Etharkkum Thunindhavan teaser heightens expectations!

Suriya’s ‘Etharkkum Thunindhavan’ is gearing up for a grand theatrical release on March 10. Meanwhile, the makers have released its teaser online. The 1.07-minute long teaser has already notched up around 5 million views. It is a racy teaser packed up with shots of action and bloodshed. Suriya seems to be playing an advocate who is now a vigilante. Vinay, who plays the antagonist, gets a solid build up as the evil guy.

Directed by Pandiraj, ‘Etharkkum Thunindhavan’ promises to be an action-packed thriller. Unconfirmed reports suggest that the film is inspired from the Pollachi sexual assault case. Priyanka Arul Mohan, who was last seen in ‘Doctor’, is paired with Suriya. Sathyaraj, Rajkiran, Saranya Ponvannan, Jayaprakash, Ilavarasan, Devadarshini, Subbu Panchu Arunachalam, Saran and many others are part of the supporting cast.

The film has Rathnavelu as the cinematographer and D Imman as the music director. AnbAriv duo has choreographed the stunts.

The makers of ‘Bheeshma Parvam’ have released the first song video online. Titled ‘Parudeesa’, the song is composed by Sushin Shyam. Actor Sreenath Bhasi has lent his vocals and lyrics is penned by Vinayak Sasikumar. Sreenath Bhasi and Soubin Shahir’s retro style dance moves are the song’s major highlights. Anagha, who is paired with Sreenath Bhasi, also does her part with some stylish steps. Srinda is the other known face in the song.

Directed by Amal Neerad, ‘Bheeshma Parvam’ is a period gangster drama starring Mammootty in the lead role. Newcomer Devadath Shaji has scripted it along with Amal Neerad. The film has an elaborate supporting cast comprising of Farhaan Faasil, Dileesh Pothan, Shine Tom Chacko, ‘Kettyolaan Ente Malakha’ fame Veena Nandakumar, Sudev Nair, Nadiya Moidu, ‘Pushpa’ fame Anasuya, Maala Parvathi and Lena.

Though the makers are yet to officially announce the release date, it is most likely that ‘Bheeshma Parvam’ will be hitting screens on the first week of March. Amal Neerad is producing the film under his own banner.

The first look of Manju Warrier’s upcoming Indo-Arab film ‘Ayisha’ is getting noticed. The poster features Manju in a joyful mood with a different hairstyle and look. The film directed by debutant Aamir Pallikkal is set in the Gulf. As per the makers, the film will be showcasing a mix of Indo-Arabic cultures.

‘Ayisha’ has its story by Ashif Kakkodi, who had earlier scripted ‘Halal Love Story’. Director Zakariya is producing the film, which has editing by Appu N Bhattathiri and cinematography by Vishnu Sharma. Recently, Prabhu Deva had choreographed a dance number for the film. It is after a long gap that he is returning to Malayalam industry and naturally, expectations are high. M Jayachandran has composed the song.

‘Ayisha’ will be releasing in Malayalam, English, Arabic, Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, and Kannada languages.

Mohanlal’s ‘Aaraattu’ got released in theatres last day. The film is getting excellent response from the fans but critic reviews have so far been mixed. Meanwhile, the makers have released a song video from the film. Titled ‘Onnam Kandam’, the song is composed by Rahul Raj. Swetha Ashok, Narayani Gopan, Yasin Nizar, Mithun Jayaraj, Aswin Vijayan and Rajkumar Radhakrishnan have lent their vocals. Rajeev Govindan has penned the lyrics.

‘Aaraattu’ is directed by B Unnikrishnan and scripted by Udhayakrishna. Mohanlal plays a character named Neyyattinkara Gopan in it. The makers have intended it as a proper entertainer for the fans to celebrate Minamahal. It has umpteen references to his old films including ‘Chandralekha’, ‘Aaram Thamburan’, ‘Ravanaprabhu’ and the more recent ‘Lucifer’.

‘Aaraattu’ has a huge star cast. Shraddha Srinath is the female lead. Siddique, Sai Kumar, Riyaz Khan, Nedumudi Venu, Indrans, Lukman, ‘KGF’ fame Garuda Ram, Ashwin Kumar, Vijayaraghavan, Swasika, Rachana Narayanankutty, Sheela and many others are part of the film.

We had earlier reported about Tovino and Keerthy Suresh teaming up for a film titled ‘Vaashi’. Its first look has been released. AR Rahman, Abhishek Bachchan, Mohanlal, Manju Warrier, Trisha, Mahesh Babu and Samantha have shared the poster on their social media handle. It features both Keerthy and Tovino in lawyer’s attire. Going by the poster, it looks like the film will be a courtroom/legal drama.

‘Vaashi’ is directed by debutant Vishnu G Raghav. The film’s story is penned by Janiz Chacko Simon and screenplay is written by director Vishnu. Neil Dcunha is the cinematographer. Kailas Menon is composing the songs and the duo of Neha Nair and Yakzan Gary Pereira handle the background score. Arjun Benn is editing the film. Filmmaker Mahesh Narayanan is serving the creative supervisor.

Aishwarya Lekshmi starrer ‘Archana 31’ Not Out continues to get good response. Inspired by a successful theatrical run in the home centres, the film is now set for overseas release. It is releasing in UAE, Oman, Qatar and Baharain on February 17.

‘Archana 31 Not Out’ is directed by debutant Akhil Anilkumar. The film, which is Aishwarya Lekshmi’s first outing as a solo lead, is a full-on fun entertainer with an empowering message in it. Scripted by Akhil Anilkumar along with Ajay Vijayan and Vivek Chandran, the film is mainly about the titular character’s attempts to get married.

Aishwarya Lekshmi plays a primary school teacher’s role. Along with her, the film stars a host of lesser-known actors, most of them hand-picked from the locality. Indrans, Ramesh Pisharody and Rajesh Madhavan are the among the very few known faces.

‘Archana 31 Not Out’ is produced jointly by filmmaker Martin Prakkat, Siby Chavara and Renjith Nair. On the technical front, the film has cinematography by Joyal Joji and edits handled by Mushin PM.

The makers of ‘Bheeshma Parvam’ have released a new song online. Titled ‘Aakasham’, it is a romantic track featuring Sreenath Bhasi and Anagha. The latter has previously done films like in ‘Rakshadhikari Baiju’ and ‘Parava’. She has also acted in a couple of Tamil films like ‘Natpe Thunai’ and ‘Dikkiloona’.

‘Bheeshma Parvam’ directed by Amal Neerad is a period gangster drama starring Mammootty in ghe lead. Newcomer Devadath Shaji has scripted it along with Amal Neerad. Sreenath Bhasi, Soubin Shahir, Farhaan Faasil, Dileesh Pothan, Soubin Shahir, Shine Tom Chacko, Sreenath Bhasi, Sudev Nair, and Nadiya Moidu are learnt to be playing prominent roles.

Mohanlal’s Aaraattu is scheduled for a grand theatrical release tomorrow (Feb 18). The film already has high expectations. To further enhance the hype, the makers have released a mass track titled ‘Thalayude Vilayattam’. Rahul Raj has composed the song which is sung by rapper Fejo and MG Sreekumar. The song is getting great response in social media, particularly among Mohanlal fans. It is a proper celebration track that will set the fans into frenzy.

‘Aaraattu’ directed by B Unnikrishnan is promised as a high-voltage mass entertainer. Udhayakrishna has scripted the film. According to the makers, the film will have equal dose of action, comedy, songs and all other essential commercial ingredients. From the earlier released trailer, it looked like the film will be an action-packed mass flick.
